Greetings friends. Life comes at you fast! Nevertheless, we are well overdue for a blog post.
We now have a Bad Habit Records shopfront at 95 Blackall Tce, Nambour. It's in the same tenancy as The Village Pickle Cafe. The best coffee, food and beer on the coast. Swing by for a dig and a feed.
We hope you can join us this weekend. On Saturday 26 March, Pustilence, Eviction and Drudge are playing an instore. Kicks off around 2pm, bring $10 to get in.
We got a bunch of other instores coming up as well.
On Sunday 3 April, there’s a fuzzed out indie noise pop show with Mouse and Local Authority.
Thursday 7 April Terrornoid, Pudle and Old Home will loosely play along to the movie Naked Lunch. This is sure to be a pretty weird noise / experimental show.
On Saturday 23 April, The Plague and Carnal Viscera from Sydney are bringing some death metal madness, supported by our good friends Unbound, with their astral travelling punk metal of death.
Sunday 1 May is the 3rd Nambour Block Party at Quota Park with Cursed Earth, Citizen Rat, Bone Marrow and Schkeuditzer Kreuz. Plus a skate comp and lots of locals and out of towners chilling in the park. These days are turning into something really great.
Sunday 8 May is Darkhorse from Sydney and local metal thrashers Warrior Within doing an instore here.
On Sunday 15 May, Stumpy from Trash Video is doing a movie marathon instore with a pop up shop, with tables of rare and insane videos and DVDs for sale.
Saturday 21 May, Diploid from Melbourne and Hanoi Traffic will be here for a special instore performance.
There’s a bunch of other stuff in the works as well. Follow the us on Instagram @badhabitrecordsaus to stay up to date, or just visit the shop regularly – you’ll be forced to take flyers for whatever’s coming up next.
If you are doing anything interesting on the coast, feel free to drop in some flyers and posters btw.
For those that can't visit us in the shop, there's a ton of new stuff being continually listed on the BAD HABIT WEBSTORE, check it out and hit us up if there's anything you're chasing.
That’s enough for now but we leave with you an interview we did a few months ago with the maniac at Novichok Electronic Warfare Systems, an Australian label that specialises in noise and experimental “music” that really pushes the boundaries of music, culture and good taste. Click here to read more…
